''My collection is a celebration of all things royal and vintage. It's the perfect amalgamation of extravagance, glamour and sensuality'', gemologist and designer Yashodhara Godha told me in the run-up to her show at India Beach Fashion Week.
Steeped in inspiration from Persian old world charm, using silk organza and chiffon embellished with intricate three-dimensional embroideries and dori work, Yashodhara brought a vintage feel to the runway. A fusion of resort and destination bride, each look was versatile, wearable and could be styled in different ways. Menswear standouts include the glittering all-black kurta-pyjama- waistcoat and the kurta-pyjama styled with a printed strol while romantic lehengas with floral motifs made an impact in womenswear. The looks were accessorised with turbans or clutches with floral motifs to keep pace with the over-arching resort bridal theme! Indeed—a collection fit for the beach bride!!
