Bangalore-based designer Madhu Singh has a dream… a dream of taking her label 'Almara' to a different level. ''I'm so proud I'm showcasing my menswear line in the nation's most dynamic city! I have high hopes from participation in India Luxury Style Week in terms of exposure and making inroads into India's fashion map'' she revealed and then added ''I believe marriage is the most beautiful institution in the world and I have designed some of the garments keepin the bridal season in mind.''

True to her words, the traditional menswear accented with a creative contemporary vibe was fresh, stylish and wearable. Suits, sherwanis and bandhgalas—crafted with fabrics like khadi, jacquard, linen, cotton, Pashmina and silks—took centerstage. A black textured suit was the best among the structured looks. Yet, despite the painstaking handwork, the looks—with the exception of a liberally embellished red ensemble accessorised with a turban—seemed weightless. That's got to count for something when worn hours by the bridegroom or someone attending a cultural evening. Last thoughts? The beauty was that there was something for every one in this collection.
