Falguni and Shane Peacock didn't dial back their racy style at FDCI India Couture Week. Channeling the spirit, culture and heritage of the Renaissance period on set, ‘Love Forever' focussed on maximalist occasion and bridal wear. The design aesthetic of theatrical opulence meant the presence of their trademark dramatically styled faux feathers, ruffles, gem stones, pearls, crystals, chrome appliqué and thread work. The duo's clientele is global A-List so expect to see most of the looks on awards night.
Aspiring to create couture that is globally relevant in a post-pandemic era, the design duo sent out a lavish multilayered collection with gemstone- encrusted bodysuits, fringed velvet shawls, handworked lehengas, evening jackets, cropped blouses… and embellished veils. Maximalist, glamorous and statement pieces—but sophisticated in its execution. The showing closed with actor Sara Ali Khan in an ink blue lehenga with intricate sequin work.
