She entered the modeling fraternity with campaigns starring ShahRukh Khan. In conversation with Sravanthi Mamillapalli.
''Modelling happened to me quite by chance when I decided to take a break from the corporate world. And then, it felt like I was meant to be here, to learn and to grow. I don't know how long I would be in this profession or what the future holds for me but for now this feels like home and makes me happy and content! I'm lucky that I had the opportunities to do prolific work!
My very first ever job as a model was a TVC for yepme.com with none other than the king SRK and followed it up with another one again with him for D'Decor, then a hair oil, Star Sports TVC and a few others post which I became a regular ramp model. I've had an interesting line up of fashion weeks including shows in Amazon India Fashion Week and India Couture Week and would be walking for India Beach Fashion Week. This season, however, walking for Shantanu Nikhil has been very interesting by far. Speaking of campaigns, apart from a few shot for designers, I'm looking forward to two that would be released shortly — one is a traditional wear brand and the other is suits for women!! Lady Luck seems to be smiling on me. I'm looking at quite a few interesting projects in the few months.. details ssshhhh! We are gonna have to wait until they are out!
What do I feel makes me a good model? I keep my ears and eyes open to constant learning and I follow the 'live and let live' philosophy — be empathetic; not everyone has it easy, not everyone is comfortable in their own skin. Everyone has had their bit of struggle to get where they are. Appreciation and respect gets you a long way. How do I stay fit? I've had it easy!! Good genes! But I do my bit by eating healthy, stick to a regular routine of cardio and a long walk each time I get the chance.''
