Hailing from Amravati, Siddhartth Raj is poised to carve a niche in modelling, theatre and films and he seems to be going down the right path with stellar shows, campaigns and TCVs in his two-year-old portfolio.
"Before I shifted base to Mumbai to pursue modelling and acting, I completed my education as Mechanical Engineer in my hometown Amravati. Only then was I confident to embrace a new path — from younger days itself I was attracted to glamour; Milind Soman was my idol and I determined that one day I would have an opportunity to carve a niche here due to my physique. So yeah I began my modelling career two years ago.. with a print campaign and show for Spykar. Before, I used to act in daily soaps 'Pavitra Rishta' and 'Jodha Akbar' and theatre. I was an actor first, then modelling lured me. Soon, I did print shoots for Siyarams, Big Bazaar and Shoppers Stop and tvc for Fogg. I've walked in two overseas shows and leading designers Asif Merchant, Ramesh Dembla and Gagan Kumar.
"My physique, sharp features and a straightforward attitude has brought me to this stage of my career. The way I dress has improved to another level… now I know how to dress for different occasions and have learnt to style myself and make the right use of accessories. From experience, I'd advise new models to groom themselves and be physically fit.
Moving forward, I'm shooting for three tvcs, a short film with Farhan Akhtar and a negative lead in a South film directed by Shankar. I'm living the dream."
