Indian Models

At 19, Sameer Qureshi is pursuing graduation in banking and insurance, astride professional modeling. He says, ''that feeling of standing out in the crowd, walking the ramp in front of people and hearing them applaud, and watching yourself in commercials, getting recognition, can make anyone want to be a model.'' His passion, dedication and rugged good looks made him Face Of India

''Being a model requires a lot of hard work. Working out to maintain a good physique is just one of them. I workout six days a week which includes strength and weight training and a bit of cardio. Whereas my diet is concerned, I like to keep a watch on it. I have a good balanced diet consistency with the required portion of protein, carbs and fats. I also have a sweet tooth and I try not to cheat but occasionally I do grab a bite!!

Speaking of the pageant, I knew a few of its participants and heard that it gives young talent an opportunity to showcase in an International platform. The key reason for me to enrol was to represent India and be an inspiration for people my age. It is a platform for the youth to showcase their talent and achieve their dreams. For me, it might be the stepping stone to success. It gave me the opportunity to get groomed under experts like Alesia Raut, Anjali Raut and Yatin Gandhi. And I have crafted a lot of memories with fellow contestants. What made me winner? In modelling, every other model has a good height and good looks but I believe I have a high level of self-confidence, X factor and versatility which made me stand out from the rest of the contestants! Winning this pageant has made my parents so proud and on a professional level, this title will give me the respect I wanted in the field of modelling and I hopeful of some good work opportunities. For the finale in Korea, I'm working on my flaws and all minor mistakes by polishing myself to present the best version of me. To be precise, I have started working more on my body, started improving my speech and polishing my overall personality.

Based on my experience, the advice I'd like to share with next season's contestants — make yourself eligible for the patent and most importantly believe in yourself; no-one and nothing can stop you from achieving your dreams!
