From Odisha, Rhea Resham began her career with pageants. Since, the young girl has walked for leading designers and is focussed on working hard and presenting the best version of herself. Though I don't know her personally, I was impressed when she made the effort to complete the interview at 3 a.m. That is dedication. Over to her.
''I'm twenty-two years old and I'm from Bhubaneswar. Before I started modeling I was a student at Christ University, Bangalore where I was pursuing Bachelors in Performing Arts. This is my second season with India Beach Fashion Week and I can't wait for the fun to begin!
My dream to walk for leading designers and my passion to make that dream come true has brought me where I am today. My parents are very supportive and they've always stood by my side through thick and thin. I believe the qualities that make me a good model is that I'm confident and focused. I have a good attitude at work and I always concentrate on delivering the best. Modelling may look easy but one really has to continuously improve. I like to stay positive and enjoy every moment without taking stress. My goal revolves around improving myself. I eat short meals and avoid carbs and junk food. I keep myself hydrated by drinking lots of water, juices and smoothies. And I always carry a snack bar with me. I ensure I exercise for at least thirty minutes every day; I do cardio and full body workout to strengthen arms, core and legs. I also practice yoga and meditation to stay mentally and spiritually fit.
I started my career with beauty pageants. I participated in and was first runners-up of World Supermodel India 2016 and won Unlimited MegaModel Hunt 2016. When people admire my body of work, it gives me strength and motivates me to work hard. I have walked for several designers including Manish Arora, Anita Dongre, Anupama Dayal, Vikram Phadnis, Rocky Star, Nikhil Thampi, Lalit Dalmia, Rajat Tangri, Archana Kochhar and Nidhi Munim. Recently I participated in India's Next Top Model Season 4 on Mtv India and was among the Top finalists. I firmly believe in the saying 'If you're not doing what you love, you're wasting your time.' Currently I'm very happy with how things are going and I know it will get better with time and experience. This is one thing that I've always wanted to do since childhood — walking on the ramp gives me a high! It makes me feel immensely happy and satisfied. I like to focus on the present and go with the flow. I'm very dedicated, hardworking and like to devote my time on modelling. Hence I've never got a chance to think about anything other than modelling! From my experience, one advice I would like to share with aspiring models is — 'you are your own competition. All your focus should be on yourself. It doesn't matter what others are doing or saying. You must follow your instinct. Everything happens at the right moment. Have faith in God, he knows what's best for you.'’'
