Rhea Gupte was a favorite among fashion editors and brands at 16… with campaigns like L'Oriel Colour Trophy, Samsung Mobiles, Tata Docomo, Titan Eyewear and Puma's lookbook in addition to an episode of 'Third Degree' for Bindaas and MTV Style Check. All of this… and second runners-up of Max Miss Bangalore! ‘
'I began modelling at 16. The first assignment I did was for L'Oreal Tresstalk. The experience was fabulous. I then did a few assignments and got my portfolio shot professionally when I was 19. Till then I was uncertain about modelling as a career but on winning Miss Catwalk and second runners-up in Max Miss Bangalore this year I decided to give modelling my best shot,'' she reveals. But a mere clothes hanger she's not. You can tick off her aspirations and still come up short: ''I think there is a lot one can learn from the industry. It teaches you to be street smart, focused and hard working. I have learnt that glamour shouldn’t sway a model; humble and grateful is the way to survive. But modelling is not the pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I'm studying Fashion Communication at NIFT, after which I plan to study Fashion Journalism and aspire to have my own line of clothing one day.'' Well, we wish her success!
