Priyasha Chowdhary began her modelling career in Kolkata with shoots, shows and pageants. Meet the Cocoaberry talent.
''People often ask me what attracted me towards modelling when I could have settled for a more stable career. But from the very first day — when i was mature enough to choose my path — I was inclined towards this profession as I have a good height, body and posture. I used to follow Miss India religiously since I was a kid and somehow that always drew my attention towards this profession. I was pretty sure that this was what I wanted to do and I stepped tentatively into this field with participation in Miss India — East.
I began walking for fashion weeks in Kolkata and then considered joining an agency. I thought of Cocoaberry because after all, who does not know Alesia and Anjali Raut? When they took an initiative to start an agency and guide young talent, nothing could've been better! At the moment, I'm freelancing and working with Cocoaberry on projects. Working with Alesia and Anjali is a treat because they are warm people, easy to communicate with and ready to help in every situation! I have done a campaign for Nandita Thirani, tvc for Nokia Lumia with cricketers, and walked for Lakme Fashion Week and Jabong Fashion Week among other shows. As a model, I think its my dedication to my work and being focussed in the moment that makes me a good model to work with. I work on myself continuously; a model needs to maintain a clean diet and avoid junk food! As a big foodie, its difficult. but I try avoiding rice, sweets and aerated drinks. For workout, i prefer running and dancing.
I dont know what the future holds but for the moment I am focussing on getting better with each passing days as I am in love with my profession and want to continue modelling for as many years as I can! In the new year, I have few fashion weeks as well as single shows so the future seems bright!''
