Indian Models
PARI SAHNI

Pari Sahni. The confidence, the statuesque silhouette and the infectious warmth is what makes her a stunner. In conversation with the young girl reaching out for the stars.

I have aspired to be an independent woman for as long back as I can remember. At sixteen, I was part of a dance troupe and after a certain point when I started earning money I realized I was performing well! So, pretty soon I diversified into choreography and then came the turning point in my career — Splitsvilla Season 6. Modelling? Honestly speaking, i didn't choreograph my entry into this profession! Like any girl my age, I liked wearing accessories and looking good, and the day when I attended my first fashion show in Delhi, I could not stop myself from dreaming of being a model. I was already doing shows on stage as a dancer but the way a model carries herself and the attitude with which they walk the ramp attracted me most. My family did not support my choices because they hail from from a conservative culture but my mom supported me eventually…

I do feel I have it in me when I walk onto the catwalk; it makes me forget the world and I always give it my hundred percent to bring out the best in me… no matter how good I may be, I'm still learning something new each day. And that is the way it should be! Learning, growing, evolving. Smiling is the battery of my life and I always surround myself with positive people. Modeling is my all-consuming passion but if I do outgrow it some day, I may give wings to my dream of opening a little cafe on the beach… And, of course, I can always go back to acting as I have solid experience! From my experience, I would like to advise new models to be positive and never compete with others; everyone has their own unique charm so work on yours!"
