Hailed as the Naomi Campbell of India, Nyasha Roselyn Marere has stormed the fashion fraternity with her sassy, sultry persona. In conversation.
"The thought of being a role model to other females who had low self esteem attracted me to modelling. Of course, I would have settled for any other career that appealed to me, but with modelling, I am involved in different professions. For example, in the Mahindra TVC I was a business woman, so I figured I can be anything I want to be in modelling. There is variety involved and nothing beats that! Besides, I am a goal getter! I like challenge and because I am flexible- confident- sassy when it comes to my work, it makes me a good model.
Modeling comes with certain requirements we have to fulfil. I work out three times a week if the schedule permits because most of the time I am traveling on work. I mostly concentrate on abs and squats. I do not watch my diet per se but I just exclude a few foods that have carbs and fats. The future seems bright… Just to mention a few, I have walked for Lakme Fashion Week and Project Bhutan, starred in Mahindra TVC, Jabong and many more! I will be walking for India Beach Fashion Week later this month. Of course, I never tell on my next projects but I will just say this — stay tuned for the Naomi Campbell of India!"
