Pop Culture talent Kunnal Thakur hails from "The Heart of India: Indore." In a short time he was blessed with campaigns, fashion editorials and is undertaking a diploma in acting at the famed Rahul Rawail's Stella Adler Institute of Acting. In conversation with him.
''Though not a glamorous place, Indore has a strong reputation of discovering stalwarts in the modelling fraternity and Bollywood. I was pursuing bachelor of commerce and was state champion in dance competitions during which I was noticed and approached to participate in a model hunt. Admittedly I was apprehensive as it was something new but my family assured me that just participation would make them proud irrespective of the results. So I got my portfolio made and forwarded it to the team of this model hunt… and waited. Shortly I was contacted with news that I was shortlisted for it: SuperModel Hunt-Madhya Pradesh. I won and started my journey in the modelling industry.
In order to pursue modelling seriously, I moved to Mumbai. Regular workout at the gym and sports helped me stay in shape and fit. And then things started getting better once I bagged assignments and shows. What I really love about modelling is the self confidence and sense of personal achievement. My sincere advice to all aspiring models is to improvise on language, build confidence and stay away from gossip and rumour mongers. Concentration is the key to success."
