SIRALI BY RAHUL AND GUNJAN

"Sirali"—the plume on a peacock's head in Sanskrit—is an epitome of attraction and an expression of the inner self. A brainchild of duo Rahul Jain and Gunjan Arora ,"Sirali" is a smooth blend of their creative capabilities since the launch in 1998. Rahul has always been inclined towards cinema, classical dance and design alongside his Masters in Business Administration specializing in international marketing and Gunjan has a fashion degree from NIFT.

The label's focus is traditional well-priced collections often using the crafts of tie-dye and block printing with textures and relief embroideries. Their development of a multi-blend fabric has got them appreciation and a place in the Textile and Art market, which motivated them to showcase a collection of wearable art where the garments were treated as painting canvases and art as the medium of expression and of course the duo's runway presentations are characteristically high on concept and showmanship.

Winning critical acclaim from industry veterans for an ensemble they designed for the chief coordinator of British Museum Caroline Douglas and Sir Sean Connery, Gunjan and Rahul have since tapped into their commercial potential by retailing in Ogaan, Saga, Pantaloon, Ffolio, Amethyst, Studio Saks, Sanskrit in Hong Kong, Tara Blanca in Tokyo and several others. The duo drew frenzied crowds for a showing to promote Kashmir and its art forms. Sirali creates Pre-summer, Summer, High Summer, Festive, Pre-Fall and Party Essential collections each year, and all collections include both co-ordinates and ensembles for men and women.
