Hi! Welcome to my diary! Trust me this blog couldn't get more honest!! With your interest and building curiosity, I decided to get more candid about my life i.e. the lives of models in general.
Last Sunday I was in Juhu hanging out with buddies. As I reached the destination it began raining and the first thing I said to myself was "holy crap… my hair! grrr!" I wish I had not spent an hour and a lot of money on a sleek blow dry... well, never mind! I was generally having fun with my friends when a choreographer spotted me and came over to chat. Hell, he definitely did not seem happy with my appearance and I'm sure he must have thought that since she is a model she should look amazing during a public appearance... even if it's raining and and if I may just slip in skyscraper heels!! Then he whispered to me: "dude why are you so casual about your look and you have no-make up on?" I was irritated and wanted to ask him right then: "Hey can't I just wear a tee and jeans on a rainy weekend?"
On another day I had to buy groceries for the house so I grabbed my wallet and left for the supermarket. On my way back, I bumped into a director and guess what he asked me? "Hey Divya, you look so different! Look at your photographs and look at you in person... man there is a huge difference." All I had to say was: "Sir I had layers of make-up when I shot those pictures, my hair was perfect, my features were highlighted and I had worn designer gear. Right now I in casuals out to buy groceries... sorry to disappoint you." The point is that don't models and actors have the right to dress casual? Are we being judged all the time?? This reminds me of Neha Dhupia tweet yesterday: 'I wear #makeup because I get paid for it.' I like that attitude!! hey, even I want to let my skin breathe and just chill out in casuals!
