Best Bars and Night Clubs of India

There simply is no luxury heritage boulevard like Style Mile where fine dining and fashion retail hold their own in the shadow of Qutab Minar. My last visit there was to The Dirty Martini. It would have taken a lot of imagination to conjure up this pub: we were transported to 1920s when martinis were consumed furtively once you went in undetected through the back entrance. The speakeasy bar engaged our imagination as it recreated the hedonistic era with its backdoor entrance.. velvet walls and a piano.. and of course the charming murals. Hey I don't think it would be a stretch of the imagination to see it become a hot spot pretty soon!

My friends and I didn't face difficulty deciding on the dishes. I ordered "Botley Bag Lady's Favorite" as I'd seen one at the adjacent table and it looked delicious! My friends went with "Whisky Gap Sizzler" and "The Baptist's Farm". For spirits we deliberated between "Goldenrod" (Pear infused vodka and rosewater cordial with sparkling wine) and "Camino Spicy Chill" (Camino tequila with triple sec, pepper and Basil topped with lemonade) and chose the latter. It was the first to come.. my first sip caused an "oh my gosh!" sensation. This was the real McCoy!!

The "Botley Bag Lady's Favorite" was brought out next i.e. broken sausages with smoked Scamorza and calabrese. The simple fiery bites were superb... the kind where you don't put the fork down (I held on to it as I chewed)... plain good eating! My friends felt the same way about the chicken a alla plancha with salsa Calabrese and the marinated mushrooms with sinful melting cheese. The ambience and pleasant service contributed to the dining experience and I would surely recommend a visit. The Dirty Martini really has much more to offer and we're coming back soon. Cheers!
