'I'm passionate about Goa due to its beauty, ambience, cosmopolitan nature and blend of rich heritage and modern culture. Brides and grooms from all religions want their nuptials to be special and a lot of people choose Goa as their wedding destination due to its serene beauty! It's the ideal region to showcase my destination bride collection' Mukti Tibrewal told me before her showing. Sure enough, the designer played with rich fabrics embellished with Swarovski to present a bevy of options for those desiring to make their trip down the aisle look like a strut on the catwalk.

From the first look she sent out, the feel was ethereal as the Swarovski detailing looked like fairy dust when exposed to natural light on a line-up of jackets, lehengas worn with bikinis and men's wear. Notable looks included the metallic lace gowns, the coffee-hued double-breasted coats, the shimmering kurtas worn with tulle lehenga and the brocade panelled skirt teamed with a strappy top. Personally I loved unconventional bridal looks like the chocolate gold will-power gown, the gold pants with black net cover, the bronze lehenga with long-sleeve tulle blouse and the corset with a tulle lehenga and dupatta. Stylish and sinuous! Hot men's looks comprised velvet bandhgala jackets — some with collar or shoulder ornaments, sequinned Jodhpur jackets, shimmering velvet sherwanis and black velvet jackets. The review would be incomplete if I failed to mentioned the gold plait covers, haat phool, maang tikka, matha patti and finger cuffs for women while the men sported forehead bands that would make a style statement at the mandap!
