The architecture at The Project At Park Baluchhi makes it the most attractive culinary destination in the Capital; when we were seated at a table with a magnificent view of deers grazing within a few feet, I felt the magic of dining in paradise.

While alfresco tables are ideal for cool evenings, the air-conditioned comfort of the dining room overlooks lush foliage.  My friend and I chose a table at a quiet outdoors spot for a languid dinner and ordered the spicy, sumptuous 'Orange and Celery Margarita' while perusing the menu. I have to admit that I've never had such a fabulous cocktail! Taking suggestions from the management, we ordered their signature dishes 'Double Kebab' and 'Dips Bench'. The dishes arrived swiftly and my expectation — having dined at proprietor Priyank Sukhija's restaurants across the city — was met in the first bite of mince chicken kebab enveloped with mince mutton; the kebab was perfectly prepared to a fork cutting tenderness; dabbed with mint coriander chutney, it was fresh and intensely flavourful.. and satiated the carnivore in me!! I have heard Soya Tikka and Banarasi Seekh are as delicious.. hmmm. Up next was a platter with spiced hummus, beetroot tzatziki, moutable, beans tabula, falafel and cheese rolls with fresh baked pita — it was delicious and just the thing for a warm summer evening! Strolling round the huge property with a refill of our cocktail, feeding deer with pita, we were ready for the last entree — 'Italian Pepperoni Pizza'. The thin crust, soft dough had baked perfectly with tomato sauce blended well with pepperoni, mozzarella, parmesan, cherry tomatoes and olives. We relished the gourmet pizza but limited ourselves (what willpower!) to a few slices.

Deeply satisfied with a meal in such a beautiful place, away from the hustle bustle outside, I promised myself I would be back soon to indulge in Nutella and Banana Pizza! Reminiscing about the dinner, there's a reason why The Project At Park Baluchhi is packed within days of its opening. Priyank Sukhija is the undisputed czar of the Capital's culinary landscape with a masterful pulse of what discerning diners want — the growing number of diners each day is proof. I highly recommend chilling out with friends over chilled beer and kebabs or wood-fired pizza. Or perhaps cocktails with grilled sole or filet mignon. If you're alone, it's a good place to catch up on reading in a quiet spot while the order is being prepared. Bon appetite! (1.5.2015)
