Set up to compliment Full Circle Book Stores, Café Turtle is a pioneer in its category with all-day breakfast and global cuisine attracting discerning foodies and book lovers like a magnet. The interiors has lively artwork, a well curated selection of books and the management's passion for service excellence inspires its team to be warm, welcoming and serving food that is warm, delicious and wholesome!

I visited the cafe for luncheon earlier today. Browsing the menu styled like a tabloid with witty quotes and nuggets of information, I ordered "Tuscan Quiche", "Hot Jacket Potatoes" and fresh orange and carrot juice. The freshly blended juice went a long way in waking me up and paved the way for much-anticipated goodies which lived up to its stellar reputation! The quiche was soft and warm; its aroma roused my appetite and I demolished it in no time! Packed with fresh sun-dried tomatoes, caramelised onions, basil and Gouda cheese, it was sinfully sumptuous… served with sprout salad. Up next was the jacket potatoes, and the first bite instantly brought teenage memories when my mother used to bake them at home. The just-out-of-the-oven potatoes topped with hot melting butter, accompanied with a yogurt-dill dip, was fresh, flavourful and well presented.

Reminiscing, Café Turtle's menu is a well-conceived effort to create its own style of entrees, which makes it a cut above other cafes mushrooming on the culinary landscape. The dishes are portioned to provide foodies and booklovers with just enough so they'd be satiated but won't feel stuffed and lazy. I highly recommend a visit for its ambience, service and cuisine — I know I'll be back soon. Bon Appetite!
