Mr. India Manhunt 2015 Runners-Up Sid Juvekar is living a cherished dream… a dream he has worked very hard to transform into reality… his reality. In conversation with a man who deserves the title 'supermodel'.

''It's been a year since I've been modelling prior to which I used to work for a call centre in Goa. Things began taking shape when a friend saw qualities in me that are required in a good model and she made me believe that I can be a supermodel some day… she didn't know it was a cherished childhood dream! The first time I stepped on the catwalk was during Goa Couture Week… it was a dream come true! There were tears in my eyes when I reached home after the show; I was emotional that I had achieved what I really wanted from life. It was just superb because before this I had been rejected several times — I was 98 kgs!

There was no looking back. I participated in catwalk shows for India Beach Fashion Week and Tito's Fashion Week but walking for Wendell Rodricks at Blenders Pride Fashion Week was an amazing experience. I then did TVCs for Gionee Mobile and the print and calendar shoots for IBFW. I was also part of Models Unlimited Next Top Model organised by Prasad Bidappa in Bangalore but sadly I had to quit the show despite being in the top 15 because they asked me to sign a contract which I couldn't because I had other professional commitments to honour. From my experience I'd advise aspiring models that it's very important for a model to concentrate on physic; you are required to be lean! The rest of the attributes can be worked on like facial expressions, walk and of course the right attitude on the catwalk.

I've trained myself in such a way that I worked on each aspect of the Mr. India pageant. Starting from my physic and looks to self confidence, walk, pose, how to talk and when to talk. My day used to start at 7 a.m. I had breakfast and hit the gym then came back home to watch videos of pageants to learn how contestants walk, how they answer the questions etc and then after lunch I used be sit with the question—answer sessions. Following tea, I used to go for my evening workout which includes hill climbing, swimming, running on the beach and in the water then come back home, have dinner and sleep at 10:30 p.m. There are a lot of challenges involved; what's important is mind control because your body does what your mind says; discipline, time management, diet are important and of course one has to sacrifice time with family and friends. You've got to be selfish when it comes to your goal. Since the time I've visualised this goal I've sacrificed everything and I'm being honest and loyal to my goal. I've really worked hard with sheer determination and dedication. I focused the same way Arjuna focused on the fish eye to win.

It's the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me to be titled runners-up of Mr. India — it's the ultimate platform for anyone who wants to prove himself. THIS title will give me an opportunity to be an inspiration to youngsters who want to achieve something in life with their hard work, determination and dedication. Now I'll be flying to Dubai for the finale of Mr. India Worldwide and I've got print shoots for a label in Dubai too… and yes I'll be working on a serial that would be telecast on Star Plus from November!!''
