SAHIL HANSRAJANI

He may have begun modelling a month back but is today one of the finalists of prestigious model hunt Glam Icon. In conversation with Jaipur's male model Sahil Hansrajani.

''I'm really passionate about modelling but it's more than a career — it's about personality development and imbibing a good dressing sense. I'm always looking for ways to improve myself. So it's no wonder I love spending time in the gym working out, I follow a good diet, I take care of my skin by applying home-made face packs, I take steam bath twice a week and I also surf Instagram and google the blogs on diet, nutrition, body builders and their workout regime and diet.

Taking care of my diet, skin and body is of utmost importance. I drink 3-4 litres of water, eat twenty eggs, 2-3 scoops of protein, fruits and boiled or sautéed vegetables. My salt and sugar intake is very less. No oil no junk food intake! For skin, I am also taking omega fatty acids fish oil tablets and multivitamins. Lastly I workout 2.5 hours daily; I follow a five-day plan in which I cover all body parts and I change the workout schedule each month according to the needs of my body.  I am not taking personal training and simply surf google and Instagram for tips.

I began modelling a month back and I'm stoked with the progress. I've done an editorial shoot for Times Of India, a campaign for Sizzling Scissors Salon and will be walking at India International Style Week. Following that, I'm looking forward to the finale of Glam Icon. This was my first visit to Mumbai; the experience of going through the auditions was really amazing and I learnt a lot by observing other models. So you can imagine my excitement when I made it to the finals! After all, it's a huge platform and I'm hopeful of getting good work opportunities. Besides, I'd be getting grooming tips from famous show director Shakir Shaikh and supermodel Diandra Soares. So yeah when I was selected among the top 12 boys, it gave me a confidence boost. Yet, now I'm nervous as I can see tough competitors ahead; I'm just going to focus on myself and hope for the best. Winning this title will be a priceless opportunity… I do think I have it in me to be a winner. I have a hunger to succeed, I work hard and I never give up when faced with hurdles. And if I do win the title I'd like to give it the people who groomed me to help me achieve my goal. Wish me luck!''
