All eyes are on Rubaru Mr India 2018 contestant Sagar Pravin Kava, a banker by profession, whose potential and passion for modelling has made the world his oyster. As a contender, with hopes to represent the country one day, this Mumbai boy is living the dream. In conversation.

"My journey in modelling began when I participated in a collegiate fashion show. I gained confidence when I won the first runner-up title. one of my friends, who is a professional photographer, gave me the opportunity of shooting with him to showcase my talent to the fraternity. I will always be grateful to him for believing in me. Sure, I could have settled for a stable corporate career instead of modelling… and I guess I have explored that since I'm a banker but now I feel Passion is significant. I want to follow the dream.

What makes me a good model and potential winner of the pageant? Apart from a good face and body, I believe in myself and that gives me the confidence to follow my dreams. Also, I value my morals and beliefs which encourage me to focus on my goals and give it my hundred per cent. Opportunity never knocks twice… and I grabbed this opportunity to participate in Rubaru Mr India and have been preparing myself for long to be an integral part of this pageant. I am aware that I have to prepare myself as well as physically. It is a challenge that gives individuals an opportunity to prove their capability and abilities. My regime includes working as a banker for nine hours and then race against time to prepare for this invaluable platform.

I trust that my focus, determination and dedication towards my goal makes me a deserving to be a winner. Winning this title will not only change my career path and subsequently my life. It will be a dream come true. And it will make me a stronger and more confident person when I travel overseas to represent m country. I also want to invest time in a notable cause. I have one brother and no sister and when I see families who do not even think for a single moment before killing a girl child, my mind only screams, if you kill girls who will give birth to the next generations?! I will try my best to educate people on the importance of the girl child by arranging small campaigns in villages. Wish me luck!"
